North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators
Welcome to the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators website. You are a member of the NCACTE if your institution is listed in the member institutions. There are no individual memberships in NCACTE. If you teach in a member institution, you are automatically a member of NCACTE. P-14 teachers can also participate in the conferences.
The North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators is the organization that unites teacher educators in both public and private colleges and universities, staff and faculty in state created initiatives and consortium, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Originally separate, two teacher education organizations mergedin 2005to form the NCACTE. Always cooperative, the two organizations came together every fall to sponsor jointly the NC Teacher Education Forum now in the 29th year. NCACTE, the state unit of the American Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators and the Association of Teacher Education, is governed by an Executive Committee that represents the diversity and demographic locations of teacher education programs across North Carolina.
