NCACTE Membership

Membership in NCACTE comprises faculty from both private and public institutions, organizations throughout North Carolina that support teacher education, and individuals with a vested interest in advancing teacher preparation.

Membership dues are paid annually by each member institution, which means that all faculty involved in teacher education at that institution are automatically considered members. Institutional membership includes not only faculty within education departments but also those engaged in specialty and content areas related to teacher education.

In addition, individuals working in teacher education support agencies and staff from related organizations are eligible for membership. Organizations interested in joining NCACTE are required to pay a one-time joining fee.

For more details about our structure and governance, please refer to the NCACTE Constitution.

Payment by credit card via Square is the only option for payment of NCACTE dues. A link to pay NCACTE dues will be included in the invoice email to the EPP. Please remit your institutional dues by September 1. Any EPPs that have not paid by September 1 will be considered delinquent and ineligible for STOY awards and other benefits of EPP membership.

Please note: only organizations or individuals receiving official invoices from NCACTE are considered approved by the NCACTE Board/organization.

Selecting Institutional Representatives

Complete by July 15 annually

It is very important that EPPs review their list of the institutional representatives annually. These institutional members cast votes on key issues. A link to the Institutional Representatives will be included in the annual invoice email to the EPP. Please allow ONE PERSON to update the document for your EPP.

Members of NCACTE are encouraged to contribute information about the history and development of the organization that can be recorded on this website. Please send an e-mail message to info@ncacte.org. Relevant documents, photographs, copies of past proceedings, and other information will be accepted with appreciation, and will help to create a history of the organization as this website continues to develop.
